Your back has quietly become a thing. Let's talk about it properly.

Weirdly familiar?

Little things nobody else notices. You notice all of them.

The risk assessment before picking up your child, the shopping, anything heavier than a bag of sugar - wondering if your back can take the load today.
Putting your socks on like you're in your nineties - barely able to reach your toes, plotting how you're going to get that sock over your foot.
Waking stiffer than you went to bed - the first hour a tentative exploration of how much your back can manage this morning.
Bracing before you sneeze. Actually bracing - ready to feel it in your back when it lands. Achoooo!
The hairdryer strategy. The shaving-your-legs strategy. All the small bends and holds you now have a system for.
Lifting the wet washing out of the machine - a bent, twisted, surprisingly heavy sport you never trained for.
Googling your symptoms at 2am and closing the phone more worried than when you picked it up.
Being told your scan looks "normal" - which somehow made you feel worse, not better. Because if nothing's wrong, why does it hurt?
Getting out of the car slowly, cautiously, hoping nobody's watching - except your kid, who wants you NOW, while your back needs a flipping minute.
"I'm too young for this" - the daily, hourly thought that ends the same way every time: how can my back be this bad already?

If you read any of those and felt seen - that's not a coincidence, and it's not just you. These are the things women tell me in the studio every week, and the things I lived myself for a decade. They're exactly what this course is built around.

Why this keeps happening

You've done the physio. You've bought the lumbar cushion. It's still there.

If your back has been grumbling for months or years, you've probably been handed the same three answers: strengthen your core, sort your posture, maybe do some yoga. And you've probably nodded politely while thinking, I've tried that. This isn't about trying harder. It's about finally understanding what's actually going on - and I promise it's more interesting, and more hopeful, than "wear and tear".

Pain isn't just about your back

Your nervous system decides how much something hurts, and it makes that call based on everything - stress, sleep, hormones, history, how safe your body feels. That's not "it's in your head". That's how pain works, in every body. Especially a body juggling as much as yours.

Trying harder isn't the answer

If your body doesn't feel confident moving a certain way, adding more planks on top won't change its mind. Which is why you can do everything right and still hurt - and why that's not a personal failing. It never was.

New information changes things

Give your body new movement, new sensory input, and a proper understanding of what's happening, and it responds. Gently, gradually, and often in ways that surprise people. Not magic - just how the nervous system learns.

The packages

Pick the one that matches your actual life.

Each package is seven sessions of 15 minutes. Long enough to actually change something, short enough to actually happen. No hour-long routines, no equipment haul, no guilt if you miss a day. Every session follows the same thread: what's happening, what to change, and how to make it stick when life is busy. Self-paced, and yours to keep.

Package 1 - Wave 1

Sitting & Posture

For desk days, long drives, and evenings on the sofa you've earned. Why staying still is the bit your back objects to - and the two-minute resets that fit between meetings.

Package 2 - Wave 1

Everyday Life Hacks

The bag you always carry on the same shoulder. The car seat that's never quite right. Small, doable changes to the things you do every single day - because that's where backs are won and lost.

Package 3 - Wave 1

Pain Patterns & Symptoms

A plain-English tour of what your back might be telling you - sciatica, discs, flare-ups, stress - and the myths that keep so many women stuck, scared, or dismissed.

Package 4 - Wave 2

Strength & Movement

Steadiness before intensity. A core that works without gripping for dear life, glutes that actually join in, and walking treated as the genuinely brilliant back care it is.

Package 5 - Wave 2

Sleep & Comfort

Because nights matter as much as workouts. The pain and sleep loop, what actually matters in a mattress, positions worth trying, and how to settle your nervous system before bed.

Package 6 - Wave 2

Lifting, Bending & Daily Tasks

Back-friendlier ways through real life - not the gym. Hips versus spine, picking things up without bracing for disaster, gardening, groceries, and the endless washing basket.

Package 7 - Wave 3

Back-Friendly Parenting

Hip carries, cot lifts, bath time, car seats, floor play. All the small daily lifts that quietly add up - and kinder ways to do every one of them. Your back is allowed to matter too.

Package 8 - Wave 3

Rotational Sports & Back Pain

For golf, tennis, padel and hockey. Not "stop rotating" - rotate better. Sharing the load through your body, warm-ups that earn their place, and a post-play reset for your spine.

Who this is for

This is for you if -

  • Your back has become the thing you plan around - the long drives, the school bags, the sitting through meetings
  • You're somewhere in your late thirties or forties and your body seems to have changed the rules without telling you
  • You've been told it's your age, your posture, or your core - and none of those answers actually helped
  • You don't have an hour a day. You have ten minutes, sometimes, if everyone else is fed
  • You want to understand your body and work with it - not be at war with it
"I spent years being told what was wrong with my back. Nobody ever explained what was actually happening. So I trained until I could explain it - and now I'd like to explain it to you."

Hello, I'm Alex
Back Care Specialist · Neuro-Informed Movement Educator

I came to this the hard way: a slipped disc, spine surgery on the table, and a decade of appointments where I nodded along and left none the wiser. Pilates changed how I moved, healed and lived - so I went all in. The formal training, the alternative approaches, the science-first neuro work - and I haven't stopped learning since. This course is the best of what I know.

But honestly? The qualification that matters most here is the ten years I spent on the other side of this - frustrated, dismissed, and quietly frightened of my own spine. These packages are everything I wish someone had sat me down and explained at the start. Warm, practical, and built around how women actually live. Usually while holding a cup of tea that's gone cold.
